For users
How much does it cost to post a task?
It is completely free to post a task and make payments on our app.
Service providers have to pay a small service fee when completing tasks, but this process is automated and doesn’t affect you, the user ordering services.
Can I choose who I want to complete my task?
Yes! You have a complete freedom of choosing what offer to accept. Also, if you know a specialist whose services you would like to order, you can just find their profile and send a task offer directly to them.
How do I make sure that service provider is experienced enough?
While we do our best to check every workers experience, we cannot ensure everyone is 100% experienced as they claim to be.
If your task is of significant complexity and requires specialists with certification and extensive experience, we recommend you choose to do business with “Verified” users or small local businesses working on Gigly platform.
Can I cancel a published task?
You can always cancel a task, but we ask you to do it in appropriate manner, so that it doesn’t cause any inconveniences to users of our platfrom.
For cancelling confirmed orders multiple times, your account might be suspended or fined, based on the consequences affecting the service proders.
Can I deduct VAT from services ordered?
That depends on the professional whose services you have ordered and whether they are registered tax payer. Usually you have to discuss this with the service provider, if this matters to you.

What is the service fee when completing tasks?
There are 3 service fee brackets that differ based on your earnings:
– 17% service fee for earnings up to 300 €
– 14,5% service fee for earnings up to 1000 €
– 12% service fee for earnings over 1000 €
Additionally a small payment fee is charged based on the payment method used.
What are the payment fees that workers have to pay?
Based on the payment method used, our payment service providers charge a certain fee.
The most commonly used payment methods are as follows:
– MobilePay – 1,5% + 0.36 €
– Credit and Debit cards – 1,5% + 0.25 €
– Cash – no payment fee
Do I have to pay taxes on my income?
We strongly recommend users generating income through Gigly app to handle taxes and reporting of income accordingly with Finnish tax laws.
What do I do if the user cancels a task last minute?
When user confirms a task, both of you become bound by a purchase agreement. While we advise users not to do this, sometimes it does happen due to unforeseen circumstances and we advise users to settle this among them selves in an understanding manner.
If you suffer losses based on materials purchased for the task, we recommend you try and discuss a compensation with the user regarding this. If that doesn’t work and you want to pursue legal action, do it accordingly with Finnish law.
